Was Jim’s Enlightenment Just Media Bait for New Netflix Over-The-Top Documentary?

So, was it all fake? Did Jim Carrey go on an attention seeking mediatic rampage to set the stage for new Netflix documentary about his over-the-top involvement in the making of the film about an over-the-top comedian? Try saying that 10 times fast.  “Man on the Moon” remember? This is the movie where Jim stars in the biopic about the 70’s comedic icon Andy Kaufman. The guy was so eerie you just could not stop staring, and in the 90’s, Jim played the part to the point of international praise.  Was Jim really getting all “high on the existential nihilism of modern quantum physics” or is this mediatic genius setting the stage for his brand new Netflix biopic about his great role in the Kaufman biopic? Just look at some of Jim’s more WTF moments:

So, well, Netflix is Hollywoodizing the making of the man on the moon, so this is what Netflix says about Jim:

Now, thanks to Jim’s re-entry into the attention of mass media, it’s really tempting to look at the original footage, and if you do, then I’m sure you be driven to watch the original Andy Kaufman recordings as well, although I’d recommend you skip down to the last video first ( Pure 100% Kaufman Mind Farts).

So here is some real Bizarro a;’la Kaufman:

How did “The Room”, the worst movie ever, inspire the best movie of 2017?

So there once was a movie that was sooo “so bad that it was good”, that it turned out to be the greatest worst movie ever made and thus, a cultural iconic cult film with an expanding following. Anyways, how’s your sex life? As I was telling you, the cult fandom grew so fast, it got noticed by Seth and the Franco boys and they turned the story into a Moviementary project. Now it looks like the documentary about the greatest worst movie ever made is setting itself up for prime Oscar recognition, as the top movie critiques are gifting amazing reviews about it!

This bizarre ode to badness is so peculiar and works so well I almost want to believe that the Franco Bros and Rogan created the character “Tommy Wiseau” in order to create the movie and then create the movie of the movie! Too much? it’s hard to escape the temptation of speculation on some conspiracy theory. But you be the judge. Let’s start with the trailer…

Now to get a taste of the movie here are some of scenes that are so bad, they are good.

And now for some high contrasting reviews, (about the how good the movie about the making of “The Room” is:

The Disaster Artist is primarily a pedestal for the ultimate James Franco performance — it’s his Lincoln. – Vulture.

..not funny yet? ok, then watch this:

…so this makes the amazing reviews of the documentary even funnier, just check out what Vulture had to say: Just as Johnny Depp gave his career-best performance as Z-movie auteur Ed Wood, Franco achieves what could become his most iconic role. -Peter Debruge, Variety

Sincere and sporadically funny, The Disaster Artist is an endearing tribute to failing in Hollywood. Anyway, how is your sex life? – John Nugent.

More reviews: Empire – James Franco’s The Disaster Artist is funny and somewhat depressing, one of those haha movies that make you wonder if its laughs are really on us. –

Let’s hear it straight from the horse’s mouth, this is Franco talking at GOOGLE of all places, about his masterpiece.

San Diego Reader: Wiseau also makes a pretty good avatar for Franco himself: a mercurial, relentless performer whose ambition encompasses a thrilling willingness to crash and burn. And it’s that identification that makes the comedy work here: Franco kids because he loves.

Can we expect more from Wiseau? ( Yes.):

So, I’m watching this. How about you? Ok guys, I’ve got to go now.

What is Boruto the Next Generation?

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a Japanese manga series written by Ukyō Kodachi and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto. Serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen JumpBoruto is a spin-off of and sequel to Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto and follows the exploits of Naruto Uzumaki’s son Boruto and his ninja team while following a path to follow once they grow up. An anime television series adaptation directed by Noriyuki Abe started airing on TV Tokyo on April 5, 2017. Unlike the manga that started as a retelling of the film Boruto: Naruto the Movie, the Boruto anime acts like a prequel, before Boruto and his friends became ninjas before the later arc.

Critical reception to the series has been largely positive with most critics liking the traits of the main characters, most notably Boruto who, while resembling his father Naruto, still has different reasons for making pranks and at the same time bonds with others. Pierrot’s anime prequel also earned praise for its use of both new and returning characters. Shueisha shipped a million units of the manga series as of January 2017.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boruto:_Naruto_Next_Generations

What is The Pokémon Phenomenon?

The biggest game franchise in the world: Pokémon. Now Pokémon, like a select few other games we’ve discussed in this series has ingrained itself into our pop culture, but the way Pokémon has done this, and the extent of its reach into almost every genre of gaming is what makes it such a phenomenon. But interestingly, Pokémon’s success wasn’t only by chance.

“Pokemon is a media franchise managed by The Pokémon Company, a Japanese consortium between Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures. The franchise copyright is shared by all three companies, but Nintendo is the sole owner of the trademark. The franchise was created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1995  and is centered on fictional creatures called “Pokémon”, which humans, known as Pokémon Trainers, catch and train to battle each other for sport.

The franchise began as a pair of video games for the original Game Boy that was developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo. It now spans video games, trading card games, animated television shows and movies, comic books, and toys. Pokémon is the second best-selling video game franchise, behind only Nintendo’s Mario franchise and the highest-grossing media franchise of all time. The franchise is also represented in other Nintendo media, such as the Super Smash Bros. series.

Cumulative sales of the video games (including home console games, such as Hey You, Pikachu! for the Nintendo 64) have reached more than 290 million copies. In November 2005, 4Kids Entertainment, which had managed the non-game related licensing of Pokémon, announced that it had agreed not to renew the Pokémon representation agreement. The Pokémon Company International (formerly Pokémon USA Inc.), a subsidiary of Japan’s Pokémon Co., oversees all Pokémon licensing outside of Asia. As of March 2017, the Pokémon franchise has grossed revenues of ¥6.0 trillion worldwide (equivalent to US$55.15 billion).

The franchise celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2006. 2016 marks the 20th anniversary of the release of the original games, with the company celebrating by airing an ad during Super Bowl 50, issuing re-releases of Pokémon RedBlue, and Yellow, and completely redesigning the way the newest games are played. The mobile augmented reality game Pokémon Go was released in July 2016.The first seventh-generation games Pokémon Sun and Moon were released worldwide on November 18, 2016. A live-action film adaptation based on Great Detective Pikachu began production in 2017. The English slogan for the franchise is “Gotta Catch ‘Em All”. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon

Adam Sandler and His Hidden Connections

Adam Sandler, an orginal New Yorker, was born on September 9, 1966. As a kid, he was always making jokes and making people laugh and was so good at that, that it turned him into a professional comedian. *(Check out some of his early work on the video bellow). It all started when his brother encouraged him to go and perform at the Boston Comedy Club at age 17. He continued to perform in Boston until he left for New York University. After graduating he kept as a regular on MTV´s game show Remote Control.

In 1990 Adam Sandler was employed on Saturday Night Live by Dennis Miller, a great starting and pivoting point for his carrier that launched him to fame over the next 5 years. Shortly after, Adam makes some of his characters such as Cajun Man, Opera Man and Canteen Boy. Source: https://www.biography.com/people/adam-sandler-9542505.

He founded his own company´Happy Madison Productions´in 1999, during the years he filmed many movies under the banner. https://www.thefamouspeople.com/profiles/adam-sandler-582.php

As a young stand-up comedian, Adam Sandler probably didn’t foresee himself becoming one of the most successful funnymen in Hollywood, complete with a sweet Netflix deal, but he did. While his movies are often beaten up on by critics, the actor has starred in some pretty classic comedies, like Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, and The Wedding Singer. However, if you look long enough at the man’s movies, you’ll spot numerous in-jokes and all sorts of references scattered throughout his filmography…
